Why most of famous and loved paintings by many people are about
the artist's secret lovers? I read a story of Goya's Duchess Of Alba.
Goya painted his secret lover alba. Why so many artists painted their secret lover not
their wives? I think I can understand it in some ways. I think their love and
feelings for their secret lovers make more strong paintings. The more they long for the love, the stronger painting they can make. I think longing for something that we can have easily could be a good motivation for making art.
