Blizzard of 2011 ‘a storm of historic proportions’

BY STEFANO ESPOSITO STAFF WRITER Feb 3, 2011

This article is about the lovely blizzard we had in Chicago :)
"The total snowfall made it the third worst snowstorm on record, behind only blizzards in 1967 — when 23 inches blanketed the city — and 1999 — when 21.6 inches fell. "
I've lived in Chicago all my life and i'm used to snow and blizzards so it was interesting to read about this huge one. I remember the blizzard of 1999, as a kid it was really exciting and fun because there was soOOoo much snow to play in.
Being older and hearing about the blizzard is a whole different experience, I went and stocked up on food, i wasn't too worried but being on my own now there was a different feel to the experience. It was still fun after! We had snow days and going out in the city after it was cleared up a little was fun.
