Carolyn Rhee, "Scents & Sensibility"

In order to reenact and set a particular mood within her gallery, a South Korean artist, known as Koo Jeong A, utilizes more than just the sense of sight; she uses smell also. As one visually sees her works of art, one must also capture the smell of her depicted and portrayed experience. Koo Jeong A collaborated with a perfumer in order to somewhat revive her encounter and experience within the gallery. This method of Koo Jeong A is extremely interesting, personal, and interactive, for our personal reactions and experiences to the scents of the gallery are all somewhat different based on our own memories from life.
