(insert Runaway Bride joke here)

Where to start?? Sigh. We were together almost 2 years ago...i was your wife to be, but i ran when things got rough, and i wish soo bad i could take everything back!! I saw you a little over a month ago, after what had been forever! Seeing you again, i naturally wanted to give you a big, long hug...and tell you just how sorry i am for hurting you, and putting you through soo much unneccesary pain! Things haven't been pretty between us since our breakup...we've exchanged some awful and hurtful words to each other. When i saw you, you asked me if i've learned anything? I wanted to say, "i learned what an ass move i made, up and leaving you to tend for everything that was ours! I wish i could go back and handle things differently...than we'd probably still be together, and i'd happily be your wife...the way we planned for things to be!" If you see this, please email me, whether you feel the same way or not. Here's to hoping!!

In trying to find an image to go along with it, sifting through the Julia Roberts and Jennifer Wilbanks photos(if your are a bit hazy on who Jennifer Wilbanks is, click on the link here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runaway_bride_case) I came across this picture that gives a new meaning to runaway bride. Points for originality.

Craigslist in Lawrence, Kansas is Officially the Best

When people ask me, "Hey, Liana, what do you think society could use more of?" More often than not, I reply with, "Children's guillotines."

I wonder which lucky child got this for Christmas?

Hair Animals...

Me being bored one day, I was creeping on the blogs of random people that I do not know and I came across a particular blog that was basically just full of creepy/disturbing furniture and other oddities. At the very bottom was an entire section on these "hair hats" by a woman who works as a Music Video and TV Commercial Director from Tokyo. I could go on with all of the other cool and cooky things she has done, but this by far was the most interesting to me. She makes these hats that depict animals made out of hair. Even creepier are the expressions on the faces of the models because they seem perfectly content with the fact that they have an animal on their head. I guess you can have your pet forever immortalized as a creature nesting in your hair. I could not decide if this would interest Rebecca or Rachel more : )

WHY?

Let me taste you...
"im 26 years old from the southside of the chi or chicago
for those who didnt know, but anyway, im very outgoing,
very ambitious person. im all about positivity, achieving
a higher plateau, and bettering myself as a person.
i feel like the world is yours, you just need to realize that
and make your dreams reality, because anything worth having
is worth working for. i feel like (in my own opinion) if you dont
have a dream might as well be dead! so if you want to be a stripper
be the best stripper you can be."

From the Austin American Statesman

I love how the birds are referred to as "sweet babies."

I am too close.

"The poet's greatest lament is lost, or at least, unrequited, love. This state, apparently, best stirs the passions of those who wield words like a sword, and are as often impaled on their prose as saved by it. I love it. This site [Craigslist.com] is the modern equivalent of screaming into the void; the cold echo of your own searching the only sound returning to your ears. But search we do, and manifest our hope and resilience with every word. I hope there are some successes. I also hope that the natural human condition is maintained: the fruitless search that delivers to us the wound that is real life and ultimately keeps us more alive."

Yikes.
